A Necktie Party...
« on: August 26, 2012, 06:28:30 PM »
The latest addition to my Old West town; the Gallows kit from Battle Flag.

The figures are a mixture of Foundry and Dixon, with a few I got eons ago at Historicon. The Hearse is an old GW kit, a gift a long time ago from Andy Dumelow.

The whole town seems to have turned out to see the bad guy swing...

More over on the Blog if you have a moment to spare.

Looks great  :)

I like the way you've got the fellow with the banjo at the front of the crowd, reminds me of that scene from Cat Ballou: "A hanging day, in Wolf City Wyoming - Wolf City Wyoming, 1892 ..... "  lol

Excellent, I just ordered the gallows set too. A nice eclectic mix of bystanders too,  :)

Nice, must get that gallows at some point.

But:

Will that crowd hang around afterwards or will they be roped into staying?

or:

Are they waiting for some good noose?

and :

Is the banjo player just stringing them along?

Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

Don't know but the hangman in NPC will be in for a bonanza.

Hmmm. I was hoping the Battleflag gallows came with a noose. Probably wishful thinking on my part. I can certainly get some string, but I have no idea how to tie a noose knot. I imagine it will be very fiddly at such a small scale too. Anyone know any good noose tutorials?  I guess that could be a useful skill to have someday  :o

It comes with twine to tie your own. There is a YouTube tutorial you can find. It only took me three attempts to get it right, not really that fiddly...
