Lidless eyes staring into the abyss.....

As already posted/suggested: let's have a 'hunter' tentacle a la the mist please. (large shaped lobed squid tentacles)

At least 1/2 man sized for the grabby bit I reckon. Again mist movie references will help.

If the section with the mouth is approaching human sized, the total length of the tentacle would have to be around four inches, which would make them very impressive. In the film their proportions aren't quite that big, the mouth section was perhaps a couple of feet - but surely bigger is better!
