rocky knoll

I thought my table might benifit from a rocky outcrop. Card base, black foamboard,  eight stones and sisal string for the vegetation.

Looks interesting.  :)

I really like to see the process that other gamers adopt in their build. It normally serves to inspire; and I hope this thread will be the same.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks chaps, emulsion paint and sand applied taking care to keep it away from the string/grass as I,ve found it can gum it up. Have to leave it now to dry overnight before throwing a splash of paint at it.

Paint splashed as promised, with a couple of figures for scale.

I can't for the love of Gid get over the fact that you mount it on corrugated cardboard and don't bother to hide it!

It surely looks the business,  :-*

but hey, that edge of the base... man!

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. Is this any better ? P.S. This is supposed to be fun - no sorry, constructive critism should always be welcomed and I thank you all for taking the trouble to comment it was an over sight on my part as I had run out of mounting board.

That's much better!

It's amazing that the wee bit of extra work really finishes off the entire model!

Looking really good.

Thanks again chaps, feedback is always welcome it,s meat and drink to the modeller. Colours used are raw umber, raw sienna and white for the groundwork and sap green, lemon yellow and crimson for the vegetation - all acrylics bought from the local art shop.
