Excellent! Looks like it was designed by Pininfarina  :-*

I assumed that was just brush strokes. Does look rather good, must say.

JimBibbLy, I posted a link to your message w/ piccies on the Aeronef et. al. thread.

James, that's really good! It seems to me that it might suit folk doing Atlantis type games too, the shape just seems right somehow.

Oh yes. It sank because the Martians and Venusians were fighting over it.

Really nice stuff!  8)

Are there any other vessels in the pipeline?  (I know, you've only just done this one!)

James, she's a beauty! Lovely lines, I love the stern detailing, almost ancient egyptian.

Your Japanese will be up for a fight, with sky skiffs... could you add a roof? ;)

I hope your dice roll well for you this time. Good luck with her!

Many thanks for all the positive comments  :)

The 'wood' is a texture on the surface and is supposed to represent a native Martian animal. Washes and drybrushing really bring it out on the model.

lol told you James :D

I never denied it  ;D

Yes, there are plans for a larger one and a couple of smaller, faster ones. We're developing a type of kite as well.

Price to be confirmed but it'll be in the region of £35-40 for the basic kit.

There are influences from ancient shipping but hopefully nothing too recognisable. The roof isn't a bad bad idea about the roofs but hopefully they won't get that close  lol

My dice and luck with anything that flys has always been shit  lol

cheers

Right then, got some paint on the master after I got it out of the mould  :) Just a simple scheme for now, I'll play around with markings etc with the first couple of casts.

It'll fit about twenty of our Martian figures on 25mm bases on the deck and we'll be using it in our game on Tuesday  :D

I'll do a blog post about the skiff and it's use by the Sky Martian clans during the week.

cheers

James

So what's yer lady saying now you converted her slippers into Martian vehicles?  ;)

Looking good. In a sort of sci-fi rustique way.
