Not entirely sure, I just see flowing outfits, bright colours etc, with Samruai-esque armour/helmets.

That's actually a good suggestion!
I was just getting caught up on details. 
I had a look around at some of the Persian figures on the market.
The look of the infantry didn't change a whole lot.
And the fact that most of the men in armour cover their faces is of course a plus.

Maybe some minis go in that direction. Some of the less armoured Dakinee Elves by Rackham could be turned into Morrowind Dunmer. And maybe some of the War Crow Dark Elves by Corvus Belli might also have some touch in that direction you desire.
