Doctor Who game teaser.
« on: 03 March 2008, 08:09:46 AM »
I played a Doctor Who scenario today, Unit versus the Sea Devils, and have a few pics to post now as a teaser.  Within the next few days I hope to follow up with more pictures and a battle report.

"Not so fast!"......Sgt. Benton captures the Master.

"Hurry Doctor!"......The Master escapes as the base is overwhelmed by Sea Devils.

I posted more pictures on my blog with a narrative account of the game.  I am kind of new to this blogging stuff, so I ended up putting Part 1 of 3 first, thus part 3 is at the top and you'll have to scroll down to read it in order.

The game was played using the Doctor Who Miniatures Game rules found free on the web at......

http://www.drwhominiatures.co.uk/

The scenario we played was one found in the rules.  The Sea Devils have 2 leaders, 8 troops and The Master.  They have 2 main objectives, find the component to The Master's Tardis in one of the buildings, and wipe out the unit troops.  Unit has the Doctor, Jo, Sgt. Benton, a generic officer and 9 Unit troops.  Their objectives are to build a device to defeat the Sea Devils and capture The Master.  Our game was very close and could have gone either way until the last turn when The Master managed to escape and flee off the board.

The terrain boards, Unit troops, Doctor and Jo were done by me and all the rest of the terrain and figures were done by my opponent Bill.  Incidentally, the Tardis was scratch built by Bill, a very nice job.

I hope you enjoy my report and little narrative.
