Awesome stuff Silver, I really like your ideas in this thread.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Thank you, Matt :) I've stolen the tree idea from you, so thank you once more for the idea of PVC pipes and kitchen towels :)

Correct phrase should be Kitchen paper towel :)
And I just bought the cheapest one since there's no fancy patterns on it.

I assumed the paper bit... was wondering as I've used a bit of toilet paper at the moment, and have got some good texture, but nothing like on yours.

The issur with the toilet tissue (oooh!) is that it's supposed to disolve when it get's into contact with water. The kitchen one is supposed to contain liquid, so it works well when you do several, pva soaked layers, and tge bark effect is the result of me brushing the whole stuff with even more pva to smudge the edges.

@Dolmot
You damn pun-bot lol

If you want yet more inspiration you should check out my other threads where I try lazy solutions to get effect.

I hadn't actually considered that, but that is what had been happening ;D

managed to get some texture in by brushing PVA with a stiff brush, and again when solid with a wire brush

It should be enough :) Just be bloody careful and varnish after the first dosh of paint, or you'll end up with melted paper.

But I got a special special just for you. And an official, and violent end to this project (and the beginning of a new from it's dust).
In the meantime, harass me over at the "Herring Jävlar" thread you bastard ;)
