« on: September 16, 2012, 08:11:02 PM »
Paint the City Pink is a painting competition and also a charity fundraiser.

Each person paints 1 or more Supremes or Supers in a pink scheme and sends them in.
Then the best minis will win some amazing prizes that have been donated by some wonderful companies.
ALL the minis will then be auctioned off to raise money for Cancer Research

Check out the full details and take part here - http://pressganger.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/paint-city-pink-breast-cancer-awareness.html

Cant wait to see what people come up with.

I'm in, and I've given the contest a little bit of a pimp on Facebook too.

Stay lucky,

Yea, I will pimp it over on my Dice of Legends blog later today...

I WANT to enter, but Mr. Weather is saying "no primer for you" at least for a few more weeks. One downfall of living in Florida (towards the lower end) we have sub-tropic weather so all that lovely humidity and rain... my friend and I have cycles down there....we paint when we can (mostly in the hot months) and primer when it gets cool as much as we can before the weather goes to hell again....ugh!  :'(

What about adding a mixing medium to it?

Never tried that but then you get expensive buying a brush on primer and medium.....the primer I get is from an Auto Store, I pay usually $3 or $5 for 2 on sale...beats the crap out of anything I bought anywhere else.

Can't find a deadline. Is there allready one? I'd like to contribute, but I'll be busy learning math 'till October the 4th.

I think it says end of October...which is the end of BCAM.

Ugh!  Late to the party on this one - I might have to check it out.  Very cool!

Hey Styx, have you ever used black gesso (or white - whatever) for a primer?  I live in NC (not as hot or humid, but still humid enough to cause issues sometimes).  Pretty cheap too.

Not late at all!

The painting itself runs until the end of October

Where do you get this black gesso at? I am always willing to try. I WISH I had NC climate.... ;)
