Battle of Quebec
« on: September 20, 2012, 01:46:05 PM »
Also known as the Battle on the Plains of Abraham, the only stand up European style battle of the French and (AND Warlord, and) Indian War. I cannot take credit for this beautiful game. It was put on by Cluck Amok at our local con RECRUITS. These are just some teasers:

These are 54mm miniatures! Full AAR and many more pics at his blog:

Nice  :D

How big was the table for all those 54mm chaps?

Thanks for the "promotion," Baron : )

Playing area was 5' x 9.5'. The mat by itself is 5' x 7.5'.

Great setup. Love it.
One of my favorite periods, yet I have never played out that battle.
Well done.

Top stuff , really cool.
Can that mat be bought?
Or is it home made and what did you use?

Looks like a painstakingly self-made "teddy-bear-fur" surface to me. But I'd love to stand corrected; Can a mat, beautiful as that in fact be optained "ready-made"?

Great game!

Agree that table surface is very nice.  The figures are top notch as well!

I believe you are correct on both counts! John Gittins of JG Miniatures made the mat. You can get yours at: http://www.jgminiatures.com/product.php?prodid=412

I highly recommend John, his work and his customer service.*

Thanks, All, for the compliments.
