Fall Recruit 2012 "Fist Full of Seamen" (USA)
« on: September 24, 2012, 05:31:18 AM »
After a week of digging through 1100 photos I've managed to put together three posts for the Blog, all choice eye candy. Please check out the site. There will be more posts this week about the heroic raid on the Mayan Temple. If you attended as one of the 50 people that played or ran the game please share your stories. Thanks for looking hope you enjoy.
A special thank you to Old Glory25's who provided Prize ships to our winners and enough figures for all included to take home their own Pirate.

Ninja,
We do. There is a Fall and a Spring Recruits. April, check out the site.
It may be the last time we run The Pirate Game for some time after this Spring. Our group is wanting to move on to other giant projects.

Here's the con's site for the Spring show.
When in doubt, have two guys come through the door with guns.

Spectacular spectacle!  I admire your groups tenacity to keep going with this giant game.  Two times and I'm ready for a break with mine. (though it will go on in smaller versions and the big one will come out from time to time).  Would still love to be a participant if it were possible.  Love the terrain.

15's away,
I think my crew is itching for a new project. We've been at this for about Two Years now. I think we all agree that April will be the last game at recruits for this monster for a year or two. We have talked about going else where but without fuel or funds other conventions are sadly out of reach.
Your always welcome to join us here in the MidWest at recruits, there is always room in the game and an honorary spot for someone who has spent so much time creating giant pirate games. You still hold the rank of English Major for the Port Manteau catch years ago.

I was able to attend RECRUITS for a whopping 15 minutes Friday night. Heard more good things about your game afterwards from some of the Basement Generals that played.

Baron,
Please pass along to your War council that my crew also had a splendid time. The Game isn't possible without the players that encourage and attend our production. We thank them for convincing the Recruits staff to invite us back twice a year. We have plans for a Giant Wild West Game and Science fiction on a spectacle scale that will premier at Recruits when completed.

Guess I won't run my Wild West game come Spring then. Or I could just take your leftovers.

Baron,
Please run your Wild West game. We are running Pirates one more time at Recruits this spring.
We are a long way off of "The West Gone Wild" Idea we're putting together.
We have no plans as to what rules we're going to use other than the LOTOW doesn't really work well for our gaming style.
