Battlefleet gothic TAU fleet - acrilyc and oil paint.
« on: September 26, 2012, 10:57:23 PM »
Ok...
This is a TAU fleet I've painted with acrilyc and oil colors, both brush and airbrush.

Things of beauty, no doubt about it.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Incredibly beautiful! Just glowing. So bright and detailed, even at this tiny scale.

I thank you all! :)

Actually I've done a lot of gym with spaceships in small-scale Firestorm Armada, painted for the Sparten Games... unfortunately they are no longer paint them to me, because my style is too realistic (I have developed techniques for weathering this small scale), and their interior paint studio has no one able to paint with the same skill.
I know, it's absurd, but the problem is that I have "too advanced skill"... o__O

hehe well sometimes the case can be that. I know people who have been turned out from a job interview because of being too well educated or just too good, no matter if the person was willing to take the job and lower salary :)

But for a good talent there's always demand I'm sure. I just visited your web-site and that forge world bio titan is also amazing..

the real difficulty in achieving them, was the assembly, and cleaning. Forge World kits are not clean and precise even in pairs. And I omit to talk of the deformation of components... Terrible...

Obviously, you soldiered on to stunning work, though, as I've never won, nor ever will, a painting medal, you may take my praise less valuable.  ;)

First opening the post had me staring a good long while. Disappointing I shall never see in person, on the table...

Often a model well photographed is more beautiful than seen live.
Too often many of my colleague painters rely heavily on Photoshop ( :-[ :-X :-[) ... I do not, I photograph closely and without tricks, you will always see models of my strengths and weaknesses.
So I assure you that live are very beautiful :)
