Post-Apocalypse Now: Miniatures and Terrain.
« on: September 27, 2012, 06:58:48 PM »

Hello,

As some of you know(I think) I build Post-Apocalyptic terrain and models, and since it was a while ago I posted any of my terrain I think it's time again!
So heres my Post-Apocalyptic table with some of my terrain pieces and miniatures.

A group of Hazmat's check an abandoned gas station out.

A birds view of the wasteland, If there is any birds left.

A team of military scavengers search a crashed helicopter for loot.

And some links to the Competition entries on TerraGenesis:

http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/competitions/entry.php?id=538 (The Wind turbine)
http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/competitions/entry.php?id=559 (Gas Station)
http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/competitions/entry.php?id=473 (Crashed Mil Mi-2)

And heres some of my Miniatures incase you've missed them:

                                               Hazmats from Hasslefree miniatures.

                                               Different conversions from Hasslefree miniatures.

And incase you wondered the turbine works:

                                              Any comments are welcome  :)

Love the table! What did you make your ruined road pieces from?

Thanks for the comments, :)

I made the roads from a Ikea plastic cuttingboard the bendy type, then I cut it with a scissor and painted it with black paint and different drybrushes.

Yea, please consider the road idea stolen, maybe the turbine but I would have to watch the material to not cause injury mishaps!

The table is amazing....is the phone lines a problem to work with with the cords in the way?

That's a fantastic looking board, and I love the characters you painted up too.

Nice, I've got those lying around somewhere. if the ex doesn't take hose with her, I'll definitly try to recycle them into wasteland roads  :D

Very nice! I love it all, but especially the work on the helicopter and the use of salt to help the process. Great job! Which brand weathering powders do you use?
