New 28mm Model T - Company B
« on: September 27, 2012, 05:00:00 PM »
Fresh from the molds at JTFM.  A combination of 3D and traditional modeling for the master.  I made the bonnet removable, since I figured it would give folks the option of doing some cool conversions.  This model is slightly larger than 1/56 in the seating area to fit a nice set of miniatures from Brigade Games

Wheels and suspension were of course done in 3D and printed for the metal masters

Though this is cast as one piece, the original master is modular. with not only the bonnet removable, but the engine, fuel tank, drivetrain as well.  If there was enough interest, we'd probably release that portion as a bare bones set so you could literally just start with the wheels, frame and engine and make whatever you wanted.

Very cute Brent. Now all we need is Patton and his mates chasing Poncho in their T Fords.

Cheers,

Helen
Best wishes,

Oh man, that looks good.

Time for another run of your Model T Contest from a few years back?

I like it.  The Wild Bunch comes to mind.   :)

Hmmm, I'd say yes!  I need to get the base chassis setup and available as a set first though.  I do have some of the original sets of the all metal chassis,  I only ended up using the wheels and suspension bits for the kit, and the engine was cast in.

If folks were interested, we could offer it as a scratch builders set...or perhaps a special for a new contest.

4 wheels, rear axle/transmission, front axle, engine, frame, and fuel tank.

I'd love to see that as a scratchbuilder's set. In fact I'd take three today if I could.

Any idea of when either the orginal car for this thread or the kit might be available?

Should have both available in a couple of weeks.  JTFM is pulling the kits now, and the metal sets will be getting spun up this weekend and next week.

I'll do a updated post once I know and exact date.
