EotD - 'Rat swarm' - suitable model?
« on: September 11, 2012, 02:02:37 AM »
Anyone got a recommendation for a Rat Swarm model, for the Vampire factions summon ability?
I couldn't see one on the westwind site, had a look at Reaper but was a bit underwhelmed with their square tile of rats...

Cheers
Scott

I'd probably use the little plastic rats from some of the GW skaven sprues, and put a bunch on a 40mm or so base.  can trim some of the spikes and such to get them to a more natural looking rat.

I don't know what size bases EotD uses, but how about these ones?

Or you could just build your own base from some rats.

Reaper do some giant rats clawing on top of each other...

I put a couple of these on a large (40mm?) base and I'm quite happy with them :)

From the DnD set Unhallowed:

It's on a 40 or 50mm wide base, can't remember which.

Then there's this one on a 25mm base:

Should be able to find them cheapish at a number of places.

Jibbery style oinkery which don't make no damn sense.

Bushido has a couple of nice rat swarms for their Cult of Yurei faction.

Included with Nezumi are three 'small' swarms. Don't be fooled by the picture, their bases are the same as Nezumi's, 30mm.

And then there's the Large rat swarm, on a 50mm base.

I like the Bushido ones, wonder if you can get them separately?

The small ones? Perhaps if you ask them really nicely. But I doubt they're that interested, sadly.
The ratman is, nevertheless very nice. (The picture doesn't really do him justice.)

[Edit]
The big swarm is in a blister of its own of course.
