CyberAlien312's Wild West Town
« on: September 29, 2012, 02:53:49 PM »
Hi,
This is the first time I create anything wild west-related. I was inspired by a lot of your wild west towns and figures, so I thought I'd try to make a Saloon. I still need to paint it. Here it is:

I don't have any western figures yet, but that's just a matter of time...

A great looking saloon. I must get round to making one for my town. The locals aren't happy with their enforced sobriety :D
Be sure to post pics of the painted saloon.

Great work for your first outing! Does the roof come off to move models inside?

Great job. Can't wait until you have pics of your whole town.

Thanks! I just painted it and I only have to add a few finishing touches.

Yes, it does. I don't have anything inside of it yet, but I will probably make a bar and a few tables when I have bought new balsa wood.

Here it is, as promised:

Sorry for the bad photographs.
I think it looks rather good. What do you think of it?

Thanks!

I made a few new things today.
Firstly, a shot of everything of my Western town:

As you can see, I made a terrain board in a desert-like colour. It's slightly bent, but I don't have a problem with that, because now it stands on the middle and it can revolve - which is great for games.

I made a gallow as well:

It was very easy to make it.

And...
My second building, the Sheriff's office. The Exterior:

And the Interior (with dirty floor):

That's it for today.
Please let me know what you think of it!

No replies?  :(

Well,  never mind. I printed a backdrop and made a few rocks yesterday.
Here's what my (not so big) town looks like now:

I have run out of balsa wood, and since I don't have any new balsa wood yet, I can't make any new buildings. I have ordered balsa wood, so I hope it will be delivered soon!

I made a few rocks, and they were very easy to make. I just roughly cut a few pieces of foam, glued them together and painted them. This took less than 20 minutes (if you exclude the drying):

and an "old" picture:

Thanks.
I just finished making a gunsmith. This afternoon I received my balsa wood, and I started making the Gunsmith building. I haven't painted it yet. Here it is:

Please tell me what you think!
