I really want to see the new Lurkers. As much fun as it is to run a team of Agents, I love playing the Lurkers. You can create such cool themes. I love coming up with reasons the team is on the hunt!

We should consider breaking open the Unspeakable Cults rules then, play Lurkers vs Lurkers in a theme pretty much.

Also, don't forget we just started to scratch the edge of using some of these monsters...the Morbid Adventures has the master list of all Lurkers from the other two magazines...I also have both prior issues including the Black Dossiar stuff so we could do that as well soon....oh forgot to mention we have the Relic rules we have yet to touch also.

Haha, Uncle Mike is probably the only person I know that rolls dice as badly as I do.

Hi, I'm Pete. Now that we know one another, you now know ANOTHER person whose dice seem to wish their owners dead.
:P

Can't wait for the new book. I love the idea of the Black Dossiers, and I dig the last one as it was Savage World-y, so to speak, although it's hard to justify playing since I'd have to buy other terrain and find some appropriate dino models.

What I want are more skills, more weapon powers (Blast/Parry...et.c.) and more human lurkers so that there can be some more differentiation between things.

There are some different weapons in issue two, but are sadly extremely difficult to obtain. :( I don't think my list will survive 15 games, let alone WIN that many!

Get one Map piece, play the Doomsday Device mission, then you have to win 10, instead of 15.

Yeah, our group thinks that one has to be played pretty early in any campaign. There was some thought that playing it after 9 wins might be a good idea, but if the lurker points start to climb it will be very hard to win.

It is a great scenario, very tense.

Dangerous, though: All those potential Major Injuries!

I know, I have all the supplements and whatnot. I was just thinking that Uncle Mike would extend the variety of weapons and weapon effects to give players who have been either playing a while or who have played a lot some new options that are widely available to both sides that aren't so much fantastical as simply different.

Maybe include a MiniCD template (like the old Nintendo Gamecube games) for smaller explosive weapons or for a special type of grapeshot/scattergun weapon, or perhaps weapons that have different effects, such as "knockdown" concussive weapons that don't damage a model but knocks them face-up automatically if within the blast area. A concussion grenade would be good for that.

I think the psychic powers will sate my appetite for a while though...I like the idea of drugged, psychic cultists.

That reminds me...I need to take a few suicide cultists in my next game. The game of Kulten I played a while back where I had one in my list was huge fun!

LOL It was the drugs...

So, I've been looking at the ".45 Adventure" rules, and while I find the game too complex for what it is regarding rolls, tests, hit locations, et. c., I do like their skill lists. It would be nice to have more varied skills available, skills that could allow you to build a force of specialized agents.

I can envision skills such as "scrounger" which would give you a second roll when searching for map pieces or on adventures that involve looking for things (such as the artifact scenario), or something like "crafty" that would allow a model within 2" of scenery taller than 2" to "hide in shadows" and get a +1 to their cover save or something.

Maybe in Shocking Tales #4?

With regards to the weapons. Play the hound of the...er cant remember the name. If you win, whenever you reequip you can use the prototype weapons (on a roll of 1 or a 6).

I like the idea of a mini template explosion tho.
"The sword sung on the barren heath,
The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

This is the reason that I think more weapons and whatnot would be slick. The model with the shield would be awesome to table, but he'd look out of place since there's no shield rules. I figure it'd be simple to implement shields...just treat them as armor on defense, and while wielding a shield you may only use one-handed weapons, with a -1 to hit or some such thing.

It mixes things up, y'know? Allows people to take their models, add some conversion parts, and create really fab lists with truly unique models.

Maybe I'm daft :)

Simple thing would make it cost 1 point, give it parry and you can use it like a club if you have no other weapon. Parry makes the most sense as a shield was designed to deflect weapons away.
