For those interested in all aspects of the Imperial German Army during World War One, I heartily recommend the website, www.kaisercross.com   Has a wealth of information (battle reports; uniforms; personalities; medal certificates; weaponry); it is part of the GMIC forum (Gentlemen's Military Intererst).

I frequently check out the site, it has lots of interesting colonial articles in the "Harry's Africa" section too (pertaining to various colonial powers, not just Germany).

Checked that website the other day, outstanding information, particularly enjoyed the references to the Great War in Africa, great detail on small unit encounters!

How odd. The forum software seems to have turned it into a link by itself without the use of tags (I didn't think LAF did that, never seen it do it before), but without the middle "s" of Kaiserscross it doesn't go to the site. Oh well, never mind. Not important.
