I somehow didn't notice this thread until now, and I must say you did some real good work on your little western town! I imagine it would work well for a skirmish game set in a frontier mining post or at  a crossroads... Or even at the outskirts of a larger town where the building desnity is sparse! Basically, all important buildings are there: A gunsmith from which to buy six-shooters, a saloon where to drink and pick fights, the Sheriff's office where the bad guys will get jailed, and the gallows where they end up getting hanged!  lol

The ground and background also look great. The rocks make nice little cover pieces, and we all know how important cover is in gunfight games ;)

The option to remove roofs is important as well, although with smaller buildings it might get fiddly moving figures around inside ;)

You could try printing out business signs for your building fronts, probably easier than painting it by hand. I'm sure your town will keep on growing, so keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot!
I just improved the signs of the Sheriff and the Gunsmith by replacing them with printed stickers:

I think it looks much better!

Thanks!  :)

Today I made and painted a bank. After all, what is a Wild West town without a bank to rob?
I also made a dusty road and I came up with the name of my town:

Withered Rock

Here are a few pictures:

The Bank of America...

... and an overview.

Comments and criticism appreciated!

Is the painted blue "window" supposed to be a "window" for gaming purposes?  Because inside it's a rack of shelves!  Or is that just a painted sign? :D

Nice lookin' little structures!

Thanks! It's supposed to be a window, but only from the outside. I don't think I need it as a window in games, though.

the bank is a great addition, I somehow forgot about the all-important bank in western movies. The bad guys blow a hole into the wall and rob the bags full of cash!  8)

I think a horse watering trough would make another fine addition. Those horses must be thirsty when they reach Withered Rock.

Yesterday I painted four of my Dixon Wild West miniatures, and I made a gate-thing with a bison/cow skull that I took from a Warhammer Beastmen kit.
Here it is:

And the figures:

Lawmen/officials (the sheriff has a painted star, as the original figure didn't have one)

Bandits
Is it just me or does the one with the two guns look vaguely like Charles Darwin?  ;D

Please tell me what you think of it!
