28mm Royal Marines: Devil Dog Design vs. The Assault Group
« on: October 14, 2012, 08:49:43 PM »
I finally got around to painting a few of the modern Royal Marines I have - which are a small mix of Devil Dog Design and The Assault Group Figures. I thought I'd post this handy comparison shot for anyone who was wondering how they scale up...

From Left to Right: DDD, TAG, DDD, TAG.

The Devil Dog Design figures are noticeably bigger than the Assault Group figures.... Not that I'm going to ditch either - but I might ensure that they all stay in separate sections/fire teams!

Are the Devil Dog figures currently available?

Not that I'm aware of. That is to say the owner of the line is not currently producing them - as far as I know.

They do occasionally pop up on ebay. Some stores may have them in stock. In that sense they may be "available".

I was none too fond of the DDD sculpts when I got them - WAY too big, and the weapons are almost Games Workshoppy in their ginormity.  I was much happier with The Assault Group figures.

That is an excellent description of them!

I do quite like the Assault Group British as well...
