Good figures for lesser known characters?
« on: October 17, 2012, 04:03:47 PM »
I'd like to create miniatures for some non-DC characters like Black Terror (Dynamite Publishing) and Maximum (used to be a Wildstorm character?). Could anyone suggest some figures (~28mm regular or heroic scale) that might be appropriate for use that would require a minimum of kitbashing?

Also...if you have some lesser known super hero/villain characters that you've made please share them.

Thanks!

A Heroclix Black Adam should convert into the Terror with a minimum of fuss as their costumes and features are similar. You might want to post images of the characters you're talking about to the thread, Is Maximum the bodybuilder made out of goo with a skinny teenage kid inside...?

Ah, my mistake. I meant to say Majestic. He is the Wildstorm Universe's equivalent to Superman.

Black Terror often uses a sword. I don't what the proper name for the type he uses.

Ah, my mistake. I meant to say Majestic. He is the Wildstorm Universe's equivalent to Superman.

T-Bolt from Superfigs might work with a little bit of conversion.

Same with Dark Solar or Solar from Pulp City.

From Reaper's Chronoscope line: Captain Griffon

Black Terror often uses a sword. I don't what the proper name for the type he uses.

I believe he uses a Cutlass. (Several versions at the link.)

Superfigs possibilities (with conversion work): Seeker.

Not much appears to be workable in Pulp City.  Captain Griffon from Reaper (linked above) could also work for Black Terror with a little conversion.

Hope that gets some ideas going for you.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll do some more digging around and see if one of them will work for me. :)
