 I´m now involved in this project, I´m using  plastic, peebles and plaster, a ecclectic combination but that give good results.

Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe, hammer to fit, paint to match!

That's very interesting!

Be VERY careful on the edges! No matter how realistic the bricks are: if the edges don't fit perfectly all the attention (at least, mine) will be concentrated on those! =)

I'm curious to see the painting!

 thanks for you nice comments, Onimusha, these are little  stones from the beach.
I make now some improvements with carved plastic.
