Some years ago, Hallmark made a Christmas ornament of the Ecto-1 that was well-scaled for the 28mm crowd. With this in mind, I stopped into my local Hallmark store just in case there was anything interesting. Lo and behold...

Higher priced than most vehicles this scale that I've bought, but... it's a Delorean! Comparison photos forthcoming once I find appropriate time travelers.

Crud! Dang you; now I have to get me one...  :D

And a Marty and Doc mini too, of course. Will this never stop? ::)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

The bigger question is WHERE does one find appropriate minis for the characters?! I want a future Marty and Biff!

I picked mine up tonight.  It's just a bit smallish, but OK for gaming.  They also have a sweet Tie Interceptor ornament this year that is just about right.  It's a skosh larger than the last Revell Tie Interceptor model.
This is my boomstick!

Hasslefree has an appropriate Doc miniature, and I'm pretty sure one of the Fenris investigators could make a good Marty!

We were at the mall yesterday and I had a look at this in person. It's pretty nicely done but perhaps a touch on the small side if you're doing 28mm. I didn't buy one though because in Canada they're priced at $23.99! That's a little more money than I want to spend on it. :(

That stinks.  It's still cheaper than the alternative Vitesse 1/43 models though.

I went to the local Hallmark store a couple of weeks ago and would have bought it, but I noticed a '78 Black Trans Am...I used to own an '80 Black Trans Am, so I bought it instead. I figures it would fit into my Zombie games, superhero games, etc. Sizewise, it matches length-wise to other 28mm vehicles I have but it is a bit narrow and a tad lower, but heck it is a Trans Am...so I can live with that!!

Question is, how do you get rid of the eyelet on top without damaging the vehicle???

Are they not simply screwed in? That's what I would have thought by simply looking at it.

If you use hobby size needle nose pliers and twist gently clockwise and counterclockwise it will loosen up.  You will, however, have an unsightly hole. I saw the trans am too and considered it for a moment but went with the delorean.
