Hello again Darrell,
Just checked out your link to homepage. Had to post that the Salute Verneuil is one the best things I have ever clapped eyes on. I had seen it only in magazines, not in the flesh unfortunately.
That's exceptionally kind of you to say so
.
Genius.
I'm afraid neither I nor Simon are the genius! I was inspired to put on the Battle of Veneuil after reading an academic paper by Prof. M. Jones that put the emphasis on the somewhat miraculous victory on the efforts of the Duke of Bedford and the pageantry prior to the battle. It's a very inspirational read and in my opinion casts new light on the subject of the late Medieval battlefield. It's available from Sage Journals Online:

Actually neither. About halfway through my research I was asked by Simon chick (Painterman on this forum) if he could chip in. Indeed he did! I believe he had the terrain made by Realistic Modelling Services, the walls of Verneuil are a modified version of the Hudson and Allen Medieval Castle Walls resins (I can't recall who he had modify the walls by adding the hoarding etc but I'm sure he can put us straight on that one). I supplied 78 miniatures and I think that Simon supplied about 150 in the end as well as the carts.
The painting and modelling all looks of the highest possible standard.
Again, many thanks from the both of us. I should probably add that the game was put on for the Lance and Longbow Society of which Simon and I are avid supporters:
(I'll add trhe link later as the server seems to be down
