Loving your paint jobs and all these classic knights! The knight with the spear(?) is my favourite so far.

Cheers,

Cheers all  :)

I'm very tempted to actually build up some small units from these various models, say aim for 10 infantry to each one. I'd want some movement trays then though. I'm still holding off on attempting any cavalry partly because they'll be more time consuming but also I'm not sure how I want to base them. Regular rectangular bases look a bit crappy next to the round infantry bases but the larger round bases I have are a just a touch too small (aesthetically more than practically), plus they have much wider footprint which might cause problems if I were to ever game with them. I have experimented with making a rounded end rectangular base which looks a bit better but I'm still more drawn to a round base. I dunno... decisions, decisions....

Very nice! :-*

A couple of additional retainers done, well, almost. I wish I had more to show in my updates on this project but if I waited until I had a good sized bunch of models to show I'd be doing an annual update!  lol

Haha the periodic updates are nice, even if they are small bunches. Always nice to see your paint jobs :)

Love what you've done with some classic figures.  :)

I'd be tempted to go with 40mm rounds for cavalry. It's what I tend to use for my skirmish figures.

I'm digging this corpse of a thread up to try and keep my Bretonnians in one place. It's been a while since I've had anything new to add although I've probably forgotten to post pics of some of my knights over the many months. Anyway, apart from my Bretonnian brigand warband I've also had a these foot knights on the go and the intention was to aim for a ten man unit. Eight knights have been finished and gathering dust for a while but I wanted to add suitable command models as well. Got myself a nice 5th edition musician, started it, almost finished it, left it to gather dust out of frustration at not being able to paint the heraldry well enough. Lots of waffle on my blog about it but I've gone for homemade decals and over painted them. Just need to do the standard bearer now.
