Looking pretty spiffy, Hub!  :D

Just a couple of (completely ignorable) observations.  The shako plumes of the bearers should be pure white for 1st (Grenadier) Coy, the shako cords should also be white, the facing of the drum would be white and the officers sash would be the same darker shade as the Kings Colour.  Also, for Waterloo, the Coldstream wore the more comfortable grey overalls, not the barracks whites.

In case you wonder where my references come from, I re-enact, 6 Coy, 2nd Batt Coldstream Guard 1815 so I have to wear the uniform on a regular basis and I have stood and defended the north gate against the French.  ;)

Fantastic pic!  I can see where your references have influenced you and, as you said, I was being a pedantic B-stard.  ;D

I know that this is quite late for this post but I am a newbie here. I live in Colchester and we are researching the men of Colchester who fought at Waterloo. One of our men was 2nd Bn Guards and is buried in one of our churchyards. His name Henry Johnston. Any suggestions for research into his army career?

Ask the Guards Museum in London direct.  They will have access to all existing records for that kind of research.
