Love the old copplestone chap with the red helmet! Don't care much for the pinheaded dog wrangler, but you've made a less than stellar model shine. Fantastically well painted Michael!

Two new warriors: The brothers Grim

The first one is straightforward without any alterations, the second one with the two swords had a bow on his back originally. I didn't like this, cut it away and added a bit of fur instead. The Killer-Bunny-head on the shield is an Andrea miniatures dry-rub transfer I had in my spares; I just painted it over.

I'm currently working on a multi-base for my first set of warriors, and it will be magnetic to hold the miniatures better when carrying them around. It isn't that hard to build, and you'll see a wip-pic next time.

Great additions.
The face on that second fella is wonderful, and I love the way that you are doing the flesh tones on them.
 :-*

Looking forward to the multi-base....

Last week I talked with a Friend about the Hasslefree and Heresy Barbarians and how great it would be to make an Army of Crazy Muscular Barbarians and now this, its like a Dream coming true! Love it all!

Had a look on the Copplestone Site and apart from that Lady I couldn`t find any (apart from 15mm). Are they OOP?

And who makes that other Bodyguard the "Not Thrudd" is that another Copplestone mini?

I fell in love with this project  :D

The original barbarian range was sculpted by Mark Copplestone when he was working for Grenadier UK many years ago. The range was part of the "Fantasy Warriors" line and is still available today in it's intirety by Mirliton, an italian company:

Some more informations about UK availability can also be found here: http://fantasywarriors.frothersunite.com/

The "Not Thrudd" miniature is one of the five incarnations Citadel miniatures released 1984-1987 as limited editions.

More info about that on the Wikipedia "Thrud the Barbarian" site.

You can of course hunt them down on Ebay ...  ::)

Excellent, excellent work  Admiral Benbow. So inspiring. Fantastic brush work and use of colors - especially stunned by the glow you have achieved in the flesh tone. Lovely :)

A day for the hobby - so I could be creativ and worked on some forthcoming projects for the barbarians.

This will be the mount for some clan-chief. I absolutely loved that beast's body, but hated the head, so something else had to be found. I think this combination is a good solution. Like to recognize the parts used ...?  8)

The army standard-bearer and his mount has been finished for a looong time, but I wasn't happy with the standard itself, so today I created a new one:

Looks simple, but was a lot of work. On to painting now ...
