Courtesy of PF (and indirectly CP Models) I managed to get my hands on a Loor model.  I got it painted on and off over the last couple of days.  The sculpts are just as nice as I expected them to be from looking at this thread.  My paint job is decent tabletop quality, but I suspect that some of the painters on this forum could do some really lovely things with the crisp, fine detailing.  But if you have been following this thread, then you already know that



Although I dont play 40K, I do plan to paint the Shocktroopers and Loor to match the Tau test piece that I painted last year (shown) and the CP Avians that I also painted with matching equipment (also shown).

just as I thought, the loor are the true scouts for the Tau.

hmm, I am about to have an epiphany about a tau story that is set on a wilderness planet...
"The last of the Loor"...
With the Tau as stand in for the brits and the Kroot as stand in for the Huron...

I now have all the sculpts here and ready to send to the mould makers early next week, also for anyone following my starship crew expansion thread I will be moulding these at the same time

Another update to let you guys know I have closed the voucher scheme and the moulds have arrived.

I have done some casting and will start casting and posting orders out from next week.

Thanks aliensurfer the alien shocktroopers should be available early next month once all the voucher buyers have their minis

I am starting to pack and post voucher orders but I have quite a list to work through so please bear with me while I sort them out

Hopefully everybody should have their figures by the end of May if all goes to plan
