well it's a length of plastic coated wire, which nestles perfectly inside some plastruct piping.... I cut the piping into various lengths and glued to the wire - the wire goes off at 120 degrees to form one arm of the banner, the other was glued into place along with the necessary piping to fit.... banner was printed out onto paper, glued into place, trimmed and painted over.... as they are banners rather than flags they only needed the design on one side which saved some work....

the idea of the piping sections was to convey the collapsible nature of the flag pole seen in the Time Warrior which sprout's the flags when planted in the ground - just bigger is all.....
