Timbor, could you do a big picture of everything you've got finished? Would be nice to see it all in context...

I can give it a try this week.  Only real terrain pieces finished are the ruin and the kelp forests, but I do have some of the other ornaments as decoration...

I finally finished my Scaly Horde starter set!  Last two guys were the Abyssal Gark and the Steel Jaw Placoderm fish:

Here is a group shot of all the gang:

There are a few more photos and a writeup on my blog for anyone interested.

Also, here is a shot of my table so far.  I got a bunch of safari sea life creatures, and they are on there too for good measure.

amazing! Lovely to see them all done together. What's next? You got anyone to oppose your horde, or going to do some more lovely scenery for us?

I think a sunken pirate ship, broken in half is a must for this table :)

I have the MegaBloks flying dutchman ship from pirates of the caribbean:

It could suit a sunken ship very well.  It is actually very nicely detailed.  There are only the little lego tab things on the deck which would need to be filed down, but that's not too necessary right now.

As for what's next, I need to assemble my fortune hunters, as they are up for painting next.  I have an arcane weapon terrain thingy that is still WIP, and then I have lots of materials for some more generic terrain like open sand and ruins, macro algae fields, etc.  Its mostly finding the time, as I am trying to assemble and start painting an army for OldHammer.

The minis & terrain are FANTASTIC & INSPIRING! I can see that wandering through the Aquarium Section is going to take me longer & be more expensive than it had in the past. Despite that, VERY WELL DONE!

Some beautiful use of gorgeous colours in this thread.

ThatlLast red beastie is my favourite.
Great choice of colours applied masterfully!

Using the nice MegaBlocks ship would be a shame! There have to be some old toy ships available on fleaBay or at a garage sale :)

Well, I would not make the ship a permanent wreck - the hull comes apart in a few different sections, so it would be easy enough to lay it on the table like a shipwreck and then reassemble it to make the ship later.

It has been a while since I posted any updates, but my DeepWars progress has not halted.  I have now finished starter warbands and leaders for each of the four factions.  This past weekend, I ran a DeepWars demo game at the Hold the Line gaming convention in Toronto, Ontario.

First off, the ancients:

Then the Dark Mariners:

The Dark Mariners actually won the first prize for the painting competition in the wargames scale unit category.  As such, here are a few more shots:

There are some more pictures on my blog of both the Ancients and the Dark Mariners.  Hope you like them!

Stunning!
 :o :o :o

Absolutely gorgeous paintwork on those miniatures.

I really like these figures and the whole idea of undersea battles.
Therefore I will not pay any further attention before I give in and buy some.

Saw these in the flesh last weekend. They look even better in real life! Some very nice painting, all rich and colourful.

Sorry we couldn't stay for the evening demo, Tim.
