AAR Dux Britanniarum, Viking vs. Anglo-Saxons #4
« on: November 12, 2012, 09:20:09 AM »
Some three weeks ago I and JonasM run the 4th Dux Britanniarum game in our 9th century cronicle about Gutorm the Coward, the unliked son of a Viking King. Gutorm tries to carve out a kingdom for himself and his seariders on the other side of the northsea...

The Defenders of the Anglo-Saxon realms have repulsed tree of the attacks and are in a good spirit, to protect their property Aethelbald the Cruel have to move it all to the old roman fort and now he sends out patrols to locate the Vikings to be able to run them away for good...

You find some pictures from the game at my blog.

Best regards Michael

Lovley AAR!

Gorgeous miniatures and terrain all combined with your lovely, humorous storytelling.

Bravo!

It's almost as if doormats were intended to double as wheat fields for war gamers!

Thank you very much.

Glad that you think my writing ia a little bit humorous, i do my best to make my AAR easy to read, but it is some times hard for me that donīt have english as first language to express my self in writing, so it might be that bringing the humour in to it...  ;)

wasnīt the doormats intended to be wheat fields in the first place... ;)

Best regards Michael

Loved it all. Is the fort the old Airfix kit of the Roman Mile fort ? Like you I have both the Dux rulesets and am currently beating my way thro them as I find I have to read every sentance ten times to try and understand them ( it,s an age thing ) .  Which one do you prefer ?

Thanks Belisarius

The fort are from Hovel

Hard to compare the two duxes, like them both maybe Dux Brit a little more at the moment as I realy like the easy campaign system.

Best regards Michael
