GF9 Badlands Rocks
« on: November 12, 2012, 02:20:46 PM »
When I first saw the Badlands products of the Battlefield in a box range, I thought they can be great with the desert terrain pieces that I already have. The Badlands Rocks (BB550) looked perfect.

I was a bit disappointed by the color when I opened the box for they were too dark (reddish-brown) so I had to paint them in order to match my existing desert terrain.

They are great for Old West games.

The Apaches are 25mm/28mm Foundry so the rocks are perfect for 28mm (the box said suitable for 25-35mm minis).

I have to admit, I've been eying these up. Did you get any of the larger pieces?
So many projects..... so little time.......

No, I do not. I must confess that I do not like their shape. They look a bit too massive IMHO.

Heh, I was thinking they were way too small for what they are supposed to be  :D

And I was thinking, "Those would be perfect for a 15mm game of Crusaders vs. Ayyubids."

I think that me agree on the subject. They are way too small for what they are supposed to be so they are large massive shapes without slopes that look rather artificial to me.

Are the posts on the ones in the pic or the larger ones? (not pictured)?

The larger ones ( Bluff and Plateau). The Rocks are great.

Pretty nice rocks, especially with your painting treatment!
