Right, you can tell I've been out of the loop, not doing enough wargaming, and not giving the almighty LAF the attention it deserves when I've only just now realized a new Building Something/Potatoe Cup is on!

Hmm, have been meaning to do a few feet of modular swampy creek to do double duty in many places. I think I'll have to start sketching and planning...

So Hammers, how many of the current ideas have appeared on Overlord and yourselfs list?

Not very many so far. Perhaps a quarter. There are some we did not quite predict. It is not really a secret list but obviously it would be bad form to start the competition by publishing it. We want originality and creativity to be a part of the competition. Since we came up with the theme we had time beforehand to 'hog' a bunch of interpretation, if you understand what I mean.

But without being to specific I think both Paul and I are still hoping to see a few more water morph variants, like waves and icebergs. The techniques involved would be interesting to learn from. I don't know if it is clear from the rules, but the name of the game is not just terrain or scenery. Figures are welcome to.

No one could have predicted Dr the Vikings ideas, no one not on a serious amount of medication anyway! They are fantastic and I can't wait to see which one he goes for.

Would a snow covered cabin be classed as a watered feature ? Something like that getting built at the club at the moment.
The Victorian Outpost

Its a new gaming place in Grimsby with new terrain and new scenery, lots of respect for all wargamers and is the best place to game in town.

Anybody who wishes to visit the venue to arrange a game then  just pm me and lets roll those dice.

I might be back from the dead.....and splashing about. This is a tough one but very nicely timed for me.... :'( (Note - I am not sad. Just practising using the only water-themed smiley to get in the mood.)

Thank you Hammers, nice to be back. It's been a long time.
I started a thread already, and I might post a couple of pics of past watery projects too - whilst I plan the new one.

After the Vought Kingfisher I built last year:

I had an idea of something a little more difficult.  For this contest I'm going to try a PBY Catalina in 28mm(1/56).

:o Oh boy... this might have just become a contest for 2nd place behind you! I'd forgotten about your Kingfisher from last year, but it's great, and if you can pull off the Catalina, it should be both awesome and *huge* - a wingspan of about 22 inches, if I've done my math correctly and you're building the beast at full 1/56th scale?
