I like the windows, is the lattice painted on, or scratched in?

It is indeed lattice applied. The clear stuff is plastic packaging. I used to save plastic packaging, but it's so abundant that I don't really have to.

The lattice is the plastic screen door/window material.

That is a FINE start to what should be a very fine piece. Keep up the GOOD WORK!

On the SPOOKY question: the thing that creates a feeling of unease, spookiness, if you will, is a perceptions that things are not as they should be. The inanimate objects moving, bloody whatever, etc. are examples. An symmetrical appearance works wonders also: placing doors & window in odd positions, making the fireplace twisted; having the floors at differing heights; stuff like that. 

I really like these ideas... Thanks for sharing.

You might add a little more rubble here and there, maybe have some mor broken down parts on or in your houses. Maybe leafless trees/bushes? Dead plants? Rats and crows? Maybe less warm colors.

Mind you, these are just ideas, I think you have done a great job so far. I wish I could build (and paint for that matter) houses like that.

the spider web tutorial is great... I'm not sure if it's beyond where I'm willing to go though at this point. I don't even have an airbrush at this point! I'll have to think about it though, the webs are quite nice.

Okay, I realize that it's been more than a few months since this project was resurrected in the first place, but I'm resurrecting it again!

To be fair, it wasn't resurrected back in January at all, but now I'm back at it!

So far, not too much to report, but I'll post more later when I make more progress.
