LAF UK Game at Salute(?).
« on: November 22, 2012, 05:55:04 PM »
Hi,

I mentioned some time back that I was thinking of doing a Flagstaff War demo game. Santa is going to be providing me with the miniatures and they will be painted up with a vengeance post X-mas. I'll more than likely be doing the terrain too which will feature a Pa as well as other nice stuff.

What I was wondering is if the LAF UK crew have got a game sorted out for Salute? In not I would like to call upon any volunteers to play the game on the day.

Also, writing scenarios is not my strong point so I was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in giving it a go? you would be invited to participate in the game at Salute and obviously you would have my utmost appreciation.

So, what do you chaps think?

Darrell.

Hi Darrell,
There is an excellent Sharp Practice scenario for the Flagstaff War here http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=472 which could be played as is or provide great background for your own. Hope it helps.
Goodluck with the project - envious as always of you UK LAF'ers!!

Thanks for that. I'm not sure what rules 'we' (actually I at present  :)) will be using but no doubt the scenario in the link you have posted should serve as inspiration.

Much appreciated  8).

It's a great idea Darrell, I would offer my services but will be defending Mars from it's indigenous population on the Oshiro Models demo game.

Steady in the ranks on Mars that man  :).

Mars must come first in order to defend the Earth (What am I saying?) :D.

Good luck with the game- it should be fab with James' scenery making magic  8).

Hi,

havent seen this thread earlier !

I am planning to visit Salut next year for the first time. When I am there I would visit you and help out as long as I get the chance to have one quick look around the show !

My trip to Salute is not 100 % perfect yet. Only 99 %...

I have painted Maori and I could maybe paint some more to bring to England ( they look good enough for Salute  :) )

I  played a Maori War Scenario on Saturday with the guy who is responsible for the Empress range. That was a nice game. We used T&T

Cheers

Hi Bjorn,

At present the project is on hold (ill parents) but I'll get back to you if and when I find the time to get it going again.

Thanks very much for offering to help out- it is appreciated  :).

Thanks. I'll be sure to post up on this thread if things are going to proceed with the demo game.
