Gunfight in New Paddock City
« on: November 19, 2012, 10:56:41 AM »
While I'm not yet strong or agile enough to play a proper wargame, I have managed a small western gunfight here in GHQ with Jon. Here are a few shots from the game, but don't ask who won...

El Bandido Blanco and his Henchmen ride into town

The shoot out's climax in front of the town's bank

The town gathers to bury its latest sheriff...

Rules used were a house adaption of Astounding Tales. Bandits and lawmen are Dixon Miniatures, others are from the Foundry Old West range. The hearse is an old GW piece I think. The buildings are mostly Battle Flag, as is the gallows.

Lovely pics, I guess you were the ex-sheriff?  :D

Those buildings look cracking, MDF suits certain types of building well.  ;D

Have you been poorly, David? If so I do hope you are on the mend.

That Wild West town looks a heap of fun to play with.  :)

Hi Plynkes, if you check out his blog you will find that he had a knee replacement, beware of the photo!  He is out and about a bit now, we met up at Warfare on Saturday.  As you can see, his painting and games are still top notch......  :D

Ah, thanks, Joroas. Must admit I've been away from the hobby for a bit, and have got a little out of touch with everyone's blogs, and what is going on and all that. But now you have mentioned a gory picture, I'm not all that sure I want to check out the blog.  lol

Hope you are running round the table again soon, David.

Well, I had a quick look (peering through my fingers like a small child watching Doctor Who), and thankfully there is no gore on the front page, just a couple of nice ACW and Zulu War pics. So happily I can resume following your blog without fear.  :)

I couldn't help myself, so had to take a look.... OUCH! :o

My secretary just had a knee replacement last week, hers is metal. She says it makes her leg feel heavier now. :(

And she's not coming back to work until January ::)

Brave Boy indeed! Just you make sure you treat her well when she's back as its very tiring learning to walk again!

I'd give the battle of wounded knee a go, though that's a bit of a stitch up job too  ;)
