Which ruleset?
« on: November 20, 2012, 05:01:07 PM »
Embarking on new project with Crusades being the main aim so are there large differences between War and Conquest,Clash of Empires and the new Deus Vult?..pretty open question I know and I'm not expecting a detailed response but if anyone has played or does play any of these and has time for a brief précis it would be appreciated,
Cheers

Come on, chaps, give the man some sort of answer. It's a period I was thinking about dipping my own toe into at some point so any comments about the various rules out there, especially the new Deus Vult ones, would be appreciated.

Had a brief rummage on TMP but I don't really like hanging around that place. Some of those fellows are most odd & seem more interested in swinging handbags at each other than discussing post topics ::)
...and what fresh new hell is this?

I havent played either as sold off my hisotrical armies just as these were coming out and with the demise of WAB. I think both have similarities. You best bet would be to scan their respective forums for ideas to be honest.

I do think however that Wargames illustrated had an article with one of these and crusades recently may be a starting point

I think Clash of Empires is very warhammer esck. I read a review once and he said it was similar, but i've never played it.
