Superflytnt, for the terrain blinds, I just used LOS to determine when to decloak the scenary.  I made sure to put enough visually blocking terrain (trees, rocks) on the board that I didn't have to worry about long distances of sight.

Skrapwelder & I played our 2nd SA game a few weeks ago.  Used the same scenario & just swapped out the gangs.

Nice AAR chaps. Looks like you had a lot of fun. Cheers. Did the reporter get off a  last minute photo again?

Nice to see the threshold comming out on top in the first game. No serious injurys I hope? In the same situation my character would no doubt fail his resolve test for being the last man standing and invariably end up running back towards the lurkers  lol

Those maniacs are a bit of an animal. Combined with sneak it seems a bit unfair for a new threshold team.. On the other hand.. A few bad rolls and the lurkers could have been in deep trouble with only two men left. It's a sort of "all the eggs in one basket" sort of play.

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

Wonderful reports, really enjoyed reading them.

11pt Maniac?
Thats just mean!
I do like to use a Maniac now and then, but try to keep them within certain limits...

I like the way that you are running side-by-side campaigns for each other.
A nice touch.

Love the Mascot!

May have to get something similar. or just kick the player when when of his Agents dies, for an authentic scream. Cheaper that way.... ::)

The Sneak ability really was what threw the Maniac over the top, so to speak. He got the first charge in. To top it off we both forgot about Alert firing so none of the Agents fired a shot as the Maniac ran in.

B.C. more than made up for his losses in the re-fight against the Deep Ones, which is the game we counted for campaign porpoises. I put myself well in to the Icthy-odd mind set and did not really cover my flanks well.

All in all it was very enjoyable and I'm looking forward to stretching out a campaign. And I've promised to keep the Maniacs to a minimum.

..now where did I put that Formless Spawn?

I ran Uncle Mike's Nightmare on 34th St scenario for Skrapwelder last night.

Not really part of the campaign I've started for his Agents, but a fun side story.

That Wendigo miniature is the coolest mini ever.  I like the look of the game, especially the GW trees.  Looks like a fun scenario.

Some really atmospheric and seasonal stuff going on there.
 :-*

Love the conversions and I just have to get me some of those trees.
They have been on 'the list' for ages and I have not gotten around to picking them up.
Very Scooby Doo.

What did you do with the board, I like the effect, it looks great.

The snow board is something Black Cavalier bought in pdf format that I printed onto sail cloth on a large format printer.

Thank you all for your kind words.  While relatively simple, the Sanity Claws is one of the 1st major putty conversions I've done, & I'm very happy with how it turned out.  It's great when you can actually get what you have in your head fully formed onto the table.

I've been looking for those GW trees too for a while, ever since Skrapwelder brought his trees in for a game.  They're just too expensive.  Unfortunately, all of those trees are actually owned by someone else in my local club & I'm just building them for him.  I was able to pick 2 of my own trees up at a discount.  But I'm definately dragging my feet completing the other trees just so I can hang on to them longer.

I bought the ice mat here:
http://www.wargamevault.com/product/99241/Battle-Board%3A-Ice-Planet
You can get it either as a full sized 4'x6' graphic, or broken up into in individual sheet sizes so you can print the whole thing out on your home printer & piece it together.  I had Skrapwelder only print a 3x3' section of the graphic.

Thanks for the info, Black Cavalier.

You are right about those trees, that is what has stopped me buying them already.
Keep waiting for a bargain on ebay, but no luck.
Guess I will cave in eventually...
