I've been a lurker for a while, brought here primarily by my newfound addiction to Strange Aeons. Thanks to the fine folks here, I'm now looking at Fallout, Chaos in Carpathia, and .45 Adventures.
I used to write extensively about "hobby board games" at my blog, but after being disenchanted with their inability to really capture a narrative and explore it, I stumbled upon Strange Aeons and immediately saw the brilliance. It's like a tremendously time consuming and expensive 3D tactical interactive movie.
I'm not sure I'll ever go back to playing one-offs after seeing what kind of stories and adventures are generated from persistent, campaign style games like these.
Thanks to all for the help!
