I think focusing on normal people in hard times is grat idea especially beacause there are so many military types out there already.

The sawn off guy couldn't look more Essex if he was wearing white stillettos  ;)

The pick handle would work as a Lacrosse stick which puts him in the posher parts of Kent or Surrey  :D
