Any more news on a release date/price yet? Wondering how much of my already (mentally) dwindling February gaming fund I'm going to have left to play with  lol

They all sound like excellent additions. :)

 No longbows though ???

They do sound like excellent additions; as do the counters etc for stage 3. The delay in release just means I can get more figures purchased and converted ready to roll when your figures come out lol

Longbows....  I'm not against and one might well appear in phase 4.  They don't lend themselves to use in sewers.  :D.  I've got a bow myself and, if I was scavenging I think I'd prefer to pick up a crossbow.

Depends how good you are ;) lol

Fair point about the sewers though. I had forgotten about the games going underground. I still think a  miniature firing a modern balanced bow would be a nice figure to see. :)

I used to shoot quite a bit just with a cheap bow and I would be very tempted to use one in these circumstances. That's probably only because I'm comfortable with it though. Sewers are indeed a d!fferent prospect, especially with shortened lines of sight and draw time issues. A crossbow would be better. A bow armed option would be good though.

Oh alright, i'll fit a couple of compound bows into phase 4!  :D.

Maybe you could find a way to use these two:

1 x unarmed OR mp5 smg
1 x unarmed OR pump action shotgun

to have the option of a bow as well, with the hands in the process of nocking or similar as they would be closer together, so a fully drawn bow would obviously be out of the question.
 ;)

That's a relief. :)

They are great.  They could have stepped right out of "The Passage" trilogy.

Yes Nick, and a good read for those looking for something with a postapocalyptic twist The passage books do it well.

Longbows....  I'm not against and one might well appear in phase 4.  They don't lend themselves to use in sewers.  :D.  I've got a bow myself and, if I was scavenging I think I'd prefer to pick up a crossbow.

The idea of discovering a compound bow in someone's attic or under a few pallets of spilled shoes in a sporting goods store works, but I'm not so sure about a traditional long bow or even a flat bow.

Are the right kinds of trees going to be around in this winter environment?  A crossbow can be made from leaf springs from a car or other bendy stuff, just at one end you have something a guy could pull hard and cock himself, and at the other end you have stuff where a windlass is needed.

Finding that sweet spot for wood where you have something that will retain it's spring, enough spring to fire an arrow at velocities for tasks beyond killing rabbits, I think that would be very hard to find in a post apocalyptic world.

I do wish more 'regular' or even 'zombie survivor' miniatures were around with modern crossbows and compound bows, or even 'mad max' style crossbows made of table legs and car springs, but I just don't see the longbow as making a come-back...at least not until nature starts to make a come-back too.  If you have a post apocalypse world where trees are growing up through the sidewalks and abandoned cars are covered in foliage, yea longbows might start to fit in then...but most post apocalypse settings aren't like that.

just my $0.02 of course, your mileage may vary
