Dark Ages Warlord

I decided to try making a Dark Ages Warlord using wood and foam, as I have done in the past with Napoleonic soldiers, and came up with one in a Sutton Hoo-style helmet. I've always said that the hobby was a very broad church... I didn't quite appreciate just how broad though. 

That is very nicely done though. Do you plan on providing him with some followers?

Oh yes. I am working on a 4 point Anglo-Danish band for Saga. I have eight Hearthguard and eight Warriors made (but not painted) and am working on the 12 Levy. Once I have that, I need to figure out what opponent to build. Probably Norman, just so I have mounted and crossbows.

There is a whole forum of us that do this sort of thing: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/wargaming_on_a_budget . I do skirmish stuff (in a larger scale, this figure is about 45mm); some of these guys do armies of wooden soldiers.
