Good mini's for a beginner?
« on: November 26, 2012, 01:28:43 AM »
Hello all,

After about a year of resistance, I finally gave in and bought Strange Aeons, Morbid Tales, and Shocking Tales #3 this evening.  I have some figures in mind as well, and I'm just wondering if these would make a decent couple of lists to start out with.

I'm thinking of playing more modern than the 20s, thus my choice in Agents.

Threshold

Lurkers; mostly Cult of Dagon, but with two or three other gribblies, just because I like them.

Thanks all.

The first lurker looks cracking. You'll probably need more than two cultists tho.

A chainsaw!! I like your style.

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

A great choice of minis to get you started but, as smokezombie said, you will need more.
Have no fear, Strange Aeons has a way of building your leadpile pretty quickly, as its versatility quickly suggests new ideas for suitable miniatures all by itself.

Oh, and: Welcome to the Cult!

If you follow the WYSIWYG approach, you should consider some cultists with ranged weapons as well :)

Thanks for the kind words and advice. I'll consider throwing some gun cultists in the order too.

Fenris Games has some really nice modern investigators.
