Prokhorovka mega tank battle AAR part 2 of 2
« on: November 27, 2012, 12:28:03 PM »
Second half of the pictures (showing all the destruction and mayhem) as well as a discussion about the event and scenario which was fun but most certainly needs tweaking and polishing if we are going to play it again. I mainly think the answer to many problems would be more stuff in reserve and re-working the objectives to get more movement and maneuvering from both sides.

Check the blog for the second half of the Prokhorovka content:

Very impressive display of tanks. I enjoyed your AAR. One of the reasons I moved away from FoW to other rules, was the seemingly heavy bias towards the German forces versus everyone else. Despite the points difference in equipment, it always seemed as though the Germans would roll their armor up, and proceed to dominate the battlefield. One gamer was watching an FoW game I was running, and made the comment that "you can always tell an FoW game, because all the tanks are lined up like a firing squad". I've since played a few games of Rapid Fire, and prefer those rules for larger engagements. Thanks again for sharing your AAR.

Haha, it certainly looks impressive. Must say though, the table looks far too small with no-where near enough stuff to block LoS...
I told you so. You damned fools.
