Brain picking time.
« on: December 01, 2012, 02:57:35 PM »
I'm looking for some Victorian style architecture raised walkways. Can't seem to find anything on google so I'm sort of resigned to making them myself.
Can anyone help with links to suppliers or tutorials for

Stairs
Ornate brackets to support the platforms ( which will be aprox 2 inch wide)

I'll try and post some pics of the things I have in mind when I'm not at work.
I did see that the microart people did some walkways on their last kickstarter but they don't seem to be for sale on their website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

Not exactly sure what you're looking for but you might try Grandt Line Products. Their 1/4 scale and S scale products fit well with 28mm

Two places I can recommend offhand is Sarissa Precision http://www.sarissa-precision.co.uk/store/cityblock28/ and MicroMark http://www.micromark.com/60-piece-o-scale-structural-parts-assortment,8995.html which has architectural building parts in O scale with lots of doors, windows and other stuff.

Yep those were the walkways that I was talking about. Nice things. Tho I would probably need quite a few.

Thanks for the replys and links guys. Really helpfully. Ive not had the chance to go through them all yet but spotted a few pieces on the Grandt site( only one I've looked at so far) that could fit the bill quite nicely.

This was the sort of thing I had in mind. Think Q gardens and the old Kings Cross station.

Please excuse the crap drawings, the patterns are just to show that I'd like something ornate, not specifically that pattern.

I found/bought/have a plan for the pillars so am just sourcing the walkways (with accompnying supports), stairs and railings.

Once again I really appreciate the replys. Cheers boys.
