Scenery
« on: December 02, 2012, 04:06:46 PM »
Well, got a load of images of some scenery me and my brother made. Its made using Ramshackle Games miscasts, kebab skewers lashed with electrical wire, pva mixed with sand and marble powder and loads of other bits.

Sam made the stuff, I painted it.

Love the greenhouse! Very nice touch, most of the times, post apoc stalkers only loot the pre-apocaliptical tins and processed food, this is a really nice idea to show how to adept to a toxic environment!

Very good job on all of these buildings :)

Its just cheap polyester resin. It has shrunk and pulled away from the sides, but it only shows on close inspection. You can get around that as well bu pouring the first coat slightly lower than the final desired level, then when its set just topping it up. THe final layer will be much thinner, so not shrink so much.

There's a lot of neat little details that really make the pieces stand out.

And welcome back!

Fantastic. These are some great pieces of scenery. I absolutely love them.
I've just started painting some zombies and this is the type of setting I was thinking of.
Truly inspirational! :o
