Looking for ideas...
« on: March 25, 2008, 06:08:48 PM »
I'm painting up a Dwarven warband and I was thinking it would be cool to paint up a pony-driven baggage cart to trail along behind them.  So I searched the miniatures companies I'm familiar with but didn't really find anything.  I noticed Essex has plenty of carts (horse and ox driven) but I wasn't sure how it would look next to Reaper Dwarves.  Any suggestions?  I'm not particularly adept at scratch building stuff so I'm trying to avoid it if possible...

Thanks,
Rodney

The battle for skull pass Warhammer Fantasy boxed set has a miners' cart drawn by a pony - if you could find it on ebay or locatae someone willing to trade it, it's not bad.

That's a good idea Vanvlak, I might do that.  I was really looking for something more open in the back to throw in some Barrels of Ale and other such Dwarven gear.  ;)  I might have to do both now.  Thanks.

Thanks for the offer Jase, but I have a friend who has one he'll give me.  I looked at the GW one Argonor and that one looks good too.  I'll just have to make me a Dwarf driver for it, but I like how it looks.  It's available through their site too.

Thanks for the help.

Yes, I was going to suggest that  [if you are a richer type of wargamer  ]

It's still available, but AFAIK only via mail-order and it is a fantastic model. My reasoning for getting one was that I only need one so was just about able to accept the cost.

Or, if its too much, Irregular have some decent ones for very reasonable prices for £4.25 [2 wheel] and £6.25 [4 wheel] here:

Or a more expensive big fella, at £11.25:
