The Group Portrait is, considering the subject, LOVELY...a VERY IMPRESSIVE Gang. VERY WELL DONE!

The flag is equally impressive. It brings to mind the standards I did for a Napoleonic Austrian Infantry Brigade commission many years ago. Doing the assumption of the Virgin Mary, or whatever she was doing, eight times scarred my psyche forever.

New WIP, working on my White Knight Dwarves to expand the army. I have these Spear men (command are black hat), a unit of Halberdiers and a unit of sword and buckler men. To finish off is a unit of musket men a mix of black tree and white knight.

Juest received ma few re-enforcements and some of the foundry dwarves to flesh out the rest :D

Nice work, sir!
 :-*

This is turning into a fair sized army, not a diversion.
 ;)

And very nice it is.

Am quite enjoying your Renaissance Dwarves.  Looks like you could lend a hand defending Bruegelburg.

This is my first visit to your thread so it took a while to get through it and there is a lot to say. I'll keep it to a minimum.
The blue's you've chosen to use are fantastic and you're brushwork is so tidy it is perfect. I also like the depth of colour you've achieved on the red haired dwarves as that is such a difficult colour to work with and you've done a grand job with the black as well. I think my favorites though are the grey beards. There is just something about them that is so charming. :D :D

Sorry for the long comment.

Many thanks for all the smashing comments,

Paleskin, yup God of Battles is looking favourite now :D

O Leary, many thanks for the kind comments. I think the red beards is something having painted lots of Picts and celts that you get to work out over time and lots of wee men  ;D :D

I hadn't seen this thread before and I find your small guys lovely and inspiring! :) Love the colour combination and how are they coming along.
Being myself a Spaniard, I find that flag a little bit shocking :D, but I believe you're hitting a nice original idea :). However, the red & yellow flag looks too 'modern' for a Conquistador concept (at least from my point of view).
Keep on working, I'm eager to see more! :)

Great stuff, I take it you're getting through your stock and will need to be back soon for another fix? ;)
