Against the Slavers campaign game
« on: December 10, 2012, 04:08:26 PM »
We started a campaign using the "Wilkinson's Camapign against the Slavers" published a while ago in WI. It was the article that got me interested in Darkest Africa, and I've been painting and getting stuff together since. Saturday 08/12/12 was the first date we could get together to start the campaign.

I've put a brief write up on a wiki page: http://hacknslash.pbworks.com/w/page/61860422/Burns%20vs%20the%20Slavers%2C%20Africa%2C%201881 with some pictures to follow I hope.

Next game will be in Jan 2013 sometime...McKenzie's Trading Post...

BTW we changed the name from Wilkinson to Burns as this fitted in with a Call of Cthulhu character one of the players had with a phobia about pygmies...

Nah, the brother looks like this...

Just hope you don't get stuck in a railway carriage with him (Oops, pardon me, madam).

Hm, not as far as I know...am I missing something here?

EDIT: Aha, avatars are the same - I normally have them turned off so I didn't pick up on that...

I fought the same campaign earlier this year, and it's very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to reading how yours develops.

They were fairly lucky to start with, +1 to morale is good, and the shortage of ammo didn't bother them too much as the British troops didn't really get involved. They picked up the unit of local archers and another of musketeers, but next time, with no +1 morale, only 4 rounds each and no locals to help out it might get more difficult.

I guess at some point I'll need to build a tembe...
