Bloody nice, mate! I really like how your purple is shaded with a dark purple, and not black (like I do). What approach do you use, it is quite effective. Seems like you use washes and tinting quite a bit?

He's definitely a Perry sculpt IMO.  It had 1985 stamped on the tab but no identifier as to company.

I have the other guy with the Sword and Buckler, which is also included in the Foundry blister, and he's marked with "GW", as some of the other retainers I have as well.
So, I guess the same goes for yours ;)

Thanks Phreed! I use inks and quite a bit of blending.  I've thinned my paints for over 30 years and it makes all the difference when blending up highlights and working with cloth as well as flesh tones.

I have an arm injury that limits the length of time I can hold the miniature, so once I'm done with the inking and highlights, I apply some Army Painter Strong Tone dip to give it a uniform shell with a bit of contrast. Once that has cured over night I spray a flat coat over it and then daub in some gloss on a brush for the shiny bits.

Here's some shots of the forces we were playtesting with last week.  The stats for them haven't been sent to me yet, so I'll post them when they arrive from the other players.

First up is Drew's High Elves. Since Epic Heroes and Brink of Battle are both designed for players to custom build their own forces, Drew has created a back ground for his elves that is part of the growing Epic Heroes home setting.  This is the Wind Song Harmony.

Next up we have Kris' Wood Elves. Her background has her Elven tribe finding what they thought were dead dragon eggs that later hatched.  The elves raised them and now they fight as heavy weight guardians of their woodland home.

Brian Payne bought some Ex Illis figures and repurposed them for his Fallen Angels force.  He's using the Extraplanar (Diaboli) Inborn Trait on most of them.  I have to find where I put the pics of the whole force, but for now just feast your eyes on his Commander model.

I need to find Matt's Demonic Monster force pics too. I'll post those later.

Next we have Chris' Dwarves.

And here are Cody's figures.  He is using Pathfinder figures for Drow Vampires and their zombie lackeys.

Our project continues tomorrow night with more games afoot.  :D

Shit bro, those are some nice minis and great paint jobs  :-*  I can't wait to see those high elves painted. I really like those wooden bases you use, where do you get them?

Thanks bro. I buy the 25mm round craft wood from Michaels, Joann's, or Hobby Lobby.  I stopped using the rounded edge and went to the squared edges for easier handling.  The brands of craft wood vary between stores.

I think Thantsants was reading my comments when he was responding to your awesome pics.
It should go something like this: " Nice work Faust - I'd go as far as saying those paint jobs are sumptuous  :P"

 lol Damien

Weeeeeell, I've been a busy bastard of late.  It feels like forever since I posted anything.  Day job has been keeping me hopping.

I sooooo badly want to show you all what we're working on for ConQuest Sacramento April 5-7th.  Soooo badly. But I can't until our big reveal at the con.

I will finish up the 3 figures that went with this set and put up some pics.  I promise.  lol

Put some pics up already! (Its not like you have a job or probably a wife or a ton of things to get ready for the con, or just plain life kicking you in the nuts; put up some pics for me  lol ).

Take your time,  ;) I am sure that you are incredibly busy as it is.

Cheers,
 Damien
