castle section finished

this the final version of the tower with  roof, as master the pieces are not glued. I do it mainly with plastic and peebles from the beach.

An awesome build. I love the architectural detailing, the alterations etc. and the different textures. Where do you get the lovely lattice-work sheet for the windows? Is the model based on anywhere specific? The attention to architectural detailing is fantastic  :o :o

Hello Sukhe

The lattice-work is anti.mosquito net , this net that you put in the windows for impede that fly bugs pass.
The dessing is mine but based in the medieval buildings that I have near my home, here in Barcelona, the mountains and hills and towns near the city have some derelict old buildings  from that time that are very inspiring. In general before the archeological recosnstrution are made you can see diverses textures that are very interesting to reproduce. as a master  for Valdemar miniatures I have tried make a diferent wall textures that you can see in the msot of the pieces in the market: a regular stones wall, this will permit also to painter make a very intersting colour variety...

I agree the work in progress pics are extremely useful AND inspirational. I like the detail of the keyhole loopholes in the brattices for handguns. Thanks for the tip about the netting/mesh - I am always on the lookout for sources of mesh/lattice for windows and shutters and gratings and cannot bear the thought of having to make my own as some railway modellers do out of thin plastic strips  :o

Wow, I agree with all the previous comments, the variety in textures is really inspiring and makes the model more of a true replica and less a basic imitation gaming model.

Excellent  :o

I specially like the impression that the architecture of the tower has been modified a few times in history. Old castles often give this impression, as each generation of lords had wanted to modify things in their castle for some reasons; but we seldom think to give this impression in our models.
